Still playing the music from page 36? Good!
During the conception of this page, I was originally gonna have Twilight give this speech, but then, as I was doing the first sketch of frame 15 on the previous page, I had accidentally drawn Applejack out of frame. So, as I was redrawing it, I realized "Hey! Applejack should totally say this!"
And now, Applejack is my favorite pony.

My Little Pony (c) Hasbro,
Friendship is Magic was created by and assistants.
My wife and I were actually talking about this very concept. That's a good lesson everyone should learn!
Also, I just love the expressions i this comic. It's really, really fun!
*looks at title of page*
"Yay Persona! "
Except Garret. He's a griffon. He'll probably kill a squirrel or something. Nopony wants to see that.
maybe a bit too quick of a turn around there...
I dont know... negativity is non sentient, but it can definitely manifest in bad ways... like a "dark side" or "shadow"... i'm not one to think monsters are there from the beginning or that there are monsters to begin with... but that doesn't meant monsters cant or wont spawn from it if you're not careful...
mistakes, sort comings, simple susceptibility to pain and painful memories,
ashamed? not entirely, more regretful
afraid? not really, just aware
a part? sure, but its just a component, as small a one as i can make... like the small shadows on a marble statue to give the dimensions perspective and texture... njot like a malignancy that needs to be removed...
Thank you for this. I think Namah made a mistake that she will regret until she can reconcile it with Fluttershy and the rest of the Mane 6.
I don't know yet whether Namah has told the truth about the Griffon; I must read on! But either way this is an amazing story.
Light and laughter,
Forgot to mention on the previous page:
I'm beginning to wonder who the real antagonist is here... Nahmat, or "Gandalf"... :/
I'm not sure this is much less dismissive than you were complaining the show had been. If she has anger issues, she really needs better advice than to be told she doesn't "have to" take them out on others.
...though, Fluttershy being Fluttershy, I suppose there was always a more than decent chance of her accepting whatever she was told as the truth.
Kudos and a watch to you, my friend.
I think I'll have to look up this Persona 4 you mentioned on an earlier comment, but I am not sure if it will work quite as well for me as it does here.
The story so far is quite interesting, too. I think I'll have to stay for a while.
It's similar when you look at the expanded universe material of Captain Planet. The Heart power may seem the weakest of the lot, but when you take what the heart ring can do to it's logical conclusion, you realize it's the MOST powerful, and Mati was given the ring NOT because he was the runt of the group, but because he also was the member of the team who was the least likely to abuse his power!
Greed becomes thrift. Wrath becomes righteous indignation. Envy becomes a drive to succeed. I'm running out of analogies, but I'm sure there are more.
I'm not sure I like this interpretation of "The Stare." But I like the idea that Fluttershy can take her malice and put it in it's proper place.
