There seems to be a consensus that if someone accused of a crime refuses to be tested by a lie detector, then they are confessing that they are the culprit. That's a logical fallacy. I'm not sure how to express why that is, though.

Say hi to Gralo. There are certainly better, more terrifying villains outside the MLP canon across all four generations, but I like to think he'll still be pretty damn deliciously evil.

The fallacy is asserting that anybody with a secret is guilty. As the Beatles once reminded us, everybody's got something to hide, except for me and my monkey. And most of those secrets are utterly irrelevant to the issue at hand (or hoof, as the case may be).

Also, I recommend doing something. It probably has a higher chance of accomplishing something useful than doing nothing.

Well, lie detectors as I've heard about them aren't exactly reliable. That alone can't build innocence or guilt.
