One of the things I pondered when i got to these pages is, with the majority of Celestia's magic gone, should I make them look young or old? I decided on young because:
1, they're easier to draw;
2, they're cuter;
3, it lends well to Celestia and Luna's predicament.
As a kid, you may sometimes to grownups during hard times like they know all, like they'll be able to fix everything. But sometimes, they're just as lost, scared and vulnerable as you are.
Imagine a very young Celestia, working with her sister to overthrow a Discord who wrested control of the sun and moon from the unicorns, only to learn the space around her world, which ought to be full of stars, is not. Imagine a Luna, too young to understand, and a Celestia, too young to cope. Imagine Celestia, carrying on with her sister what the old unicorns did until today, all the while choosing to keep entropy a secret, believing that knowledge too dreadful for anyone to bear, because she, even a thousand years older or more, still feels herself to be that filly who was too young to cope.
Oh look! Here comes Princess Cadance to throw down!
But, since I'm going to spend this weekend attending my cousin's wedding, I'm gonna have skip the 13th's would-be upload. In the mean time, enjoy the mental image of Cadance smashing Gralo with Persona.
You are welcome.
