In order for me and *Agent-Elrond to get to AnthroCon, we had to take a flight from San Francisco which left the airport at 11:15 pm, otherwise we would've had to take a connecting flight from Austin Texas, which our dear mother very strongly recommended against.
So instead of getting lost in more airports than was necessary, we just took a four-hour flight in the middle of the night, with the noise of the airplane's engines to diligently keep us awake. No wonder it's called a "red-eye flight." Now in case you didn't know, I'm more of a nocturnal person while Rondie as more of a diurnal person, so while she spent most of the flight trying to sleep, I was taking the experience pretty well, and spent most of the flight (other than a half-hour nap) admiring the view out my window. This painting is a compilation of the most memorable things I saw out the window during the flight. Remember to view from right to left though, for that is the order in which I saw all these things. Hope you guys dig it! |
