No longer afraid, but having a lot to rethink. We come all the way back around to Twilight's revelations on pages 30 and 80, and find Celestia having to reconsider the lessons she's been giving, in the light of her newfound knowledge.

I had once considered making this story integrable with the present show timeline, but seeing how things have played out, I've since changed my mind. I have no doubt that in this timeline, Twilight will soon become an alicorn, just as in the show, but I suspect it'll be under very different circumstances than the dubiously contrived scenario that is Magical Mystery Cure.

Granted if you teach the catches along with the concluded knowledge

What?

Whoa woah woah Celestia I appreciate your humility but even your ignorance on many things doesn't not invalidate what you do know

And... *sigh* there is a reason that you don't traumatized children with concepts and realities that are too painful to handle alone- bloody morons see the success they want and delusionally act as if nothing is wrong, careless of the ticking time bomb of denial or seething vengeful destructive or apathetic cocktail of bother you have fixed into this child in your idiotic phallicies of "growing up"

Morons, and of course they don't care
"It's your problem and I won't live long enough to have to worry"
Is what it amounts to

But you've gotten past that Crlestia you've come back, please, there is plenty still to learn- even if they all have catches about them ...

The most contrived thing about MMC for me wasn't any of the actions of Celestia or the rest of the cast (although I thought some of Twilight's reactions were weak or ill-explained).  What didn't make sense was the alternate timeline, and how things had come to be in it.  Like how the five wound up exactly in each other's houses, why the town keeps letting Rarity destroy things, why Applejack is SEWING FRIGGIN' DRESSES and not performing hard labor in a mine, or how exactly we transitioned from the false world back to our own.  Still, the fact that the biggest problem is concerning this faux setting that was inherently incorrect, and meant to be torn down and never appear again (unlike what we might hope from strong villains, who are actual characters), means it doesn't make the episode unenjoyable*.

*Does anyone know why "unenjoyable" keeps getting a red underline?  Is it not technically a word?  Am I unwittingly assassinating the English language?

You see the need and thus you innovate past the assumed limitations of language to stave the meaning you need

While I'm disappointed in how the enjoyable parts of the episode are what bother you most over the themes and events that reduce the characters to more like components of a machine ...

You do bring a valid point about the "wtf" about the wonky spell and its effects/ the non existent attempt to rectify it ....

After considering your input
Something tells me reality itself might have been warped by the wonky spell.... God forbid when it is "completed"

Careful with those words, 'Tia. You could give Twilight a heart attack. You could cause an entire fanfiction where Twilight is trying to come to terms with this.

That book Celestia looks at during the flashback; was that Starswirl the Bearded's book from the Season 3 finale?

Yeah, she was deciding there wasn't much point in giving it to Twilight.

I can see that. It'll be interesting to see just how she'll become an Alicorn in your version.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Twilight fan (NO. Not the crappy vampire series), she's my favorite of the Mane 6; and I support her becoming an Alicorn in the show. I just feel like that Magical Mystery Cure had too much in it for it to be a regular 30 minute episode. Too rushed in my opinion.
